Program Development

River Region assists clients in the creation, implementation, and administration of drug free workplace programs.  A comprehensive drug free workplace program includes the following 5 components: 
  1. Written Policy
  2. Employee Education
  3. Supervisor Training
  4. Drug Testing
  5. Employee Assistance Program 
During the assessment process we work closely with companies to determine the needs of a company and which aspects of a drug free workplace program they want to include in their policy.

A written policy is the foundation of a drug free workplace program.   Each company is unique, therefore there is no one size fits all drug free workplace policy.  We work with companies to create an individualized policy that not only fits the needs and culture of your organization, but complies with both state and federal regulations. 

Our comprehensive policies address:
  1. Why the policy is being implemented
  2. The rights and responsibilities of the employees
  3. Employer responsibilities
  4. Consequences for violating the policy
  5. What components are included (drug testing, education, EAP)
